How Hot Tub Clearance Pricing Really Works Here

Updated: 2 days ago
Every spa dealer runs a sale. Most of them run one permanently, which makes the word meaningless. So here is how discounting actually works at our place, including the parts that are less flattering.
The home page price is the real price

Anything featured on our home page is a weekly special. You will see the same special price, with a Weekly Special ribbon, on that unit's page in the shop, so there is never a second number to argue about.
That is the whole mechanism. There is no code to enter and no countdown timer that resets itself at midnight.
Why the discounts are real
Four honest reasons a spa gets marked down here, none of which involve anything being wrong with it.
It is certified used. It came back in, we rebuilt what needed rebuilding, and it sells for what a used tub sells for. A PDC Bali at $9,488 against $15,800 MSRP. A Master Spas LSX 900 at $13,488 against $26,595.
It is a display model. It lived on our floor, got filled, run and sat in, then drained and cleaned. When we have one, it is the lowest-risk used spa on the floor, because we watched its entire history.
It is a one-off. We ordered for a season that did not go the way anybody planned, and the tub sat. Sitting does not hurt a spa. It just makes it cheaper. Our Cal Spas AMZ740B has an MSRP of $22,500 and we are asking $9,888, which is the deepest spread on the floor right now.
Or the model year turned over. Nothing changed but the label.
What clearance does not mean
It does not mean damaged, and it does not mean unsupported. If a unit will not pass our bench it does not go on the floor at any price.
What it does mean is that quantities are genuinely one. When a unit sells, the listing comes down. We cannot get that unit at that price again, because the reason it was that price was specific to that tub.
When to buy
Off season, and September through October is it.
The pattern is the same every year. The first properly cold week arrives, the phone does not stop, and by then the good units are spoken for. Not the cheapest units, the good ones: the loungers, the high seat counts, the certified used deals people had been circling for a month.
There is a practical reason beyond selection. If your spa needs a pad poured, a deck built or turf laid first, autumn gives you time to do it in the right order. Concrete has to cure. In November it does not.
What to ask about any advertised deal
Is this price the final price or does it become something else at checkout. What is the condition, precisely, in the seller's own words. What was replaced. Is delivery included and how far. What does the electrical hookup cost on top.
A deal that only looks like a deal until the add ons appear is not a deal. Ask for the total before you commit to anything.
What is on the floor now
Bullfrog, HotSpring, Jacuzzi, PDC Spas, Master Spas, Cal Spas, L.A. Spas and Endless Pools. New, display model and certified used, starting around $6,488 and running up through swim spas. In-house financing, so the decision is made here rather than by a third party lender. We ship nationwide.
Check the home page for this week's specials, then call 936.333.0770 or email sales@txspaguy.com and ask what the total looks like delivered to your address. We would rather quote you honestly than get you in the door on a number that changes.
We are at 3289 TX-101, Bridgeport, Texas.
