What a turf job takes

The base, not the fibers
Excavated to depth, compacted crushed rock, graded to drain, weed barrier underneath. Turf that fails, failed down there.

A dry day to seam
The adhesive wants a dry day between the high 50s and the mid 80s, and the base can't be compacted while the ground is soaked.

Infill, brushed in
Sand or rubber brushed between the blades. It stands the fibers up and keeps the surface cooler. Pet jobs get infill made for odour.

Any month, really
Turf goes in year-round. Fall and spring are the easy windows; winter costs a few lost days to weather, summer a few to heat.
