Cal Spas Paradise Series PS1146L — an 89-inch six-seater with a full lounger and 46 jets. The highest-priced new hot tub on our floor and the only hot tub we carry over $17,000; what you're paying for is the Paradise Series shell, the jet count and the room.

At a glance: 6 seats · 46 jets · 89" x 89" x 36" · Lounger · New

Living with it. Five inches larger than a standard shell on each side, which buys a longer lounger and seats that don't touch — measure the gate, because 89 inches needs more path than 84. It needs a pad rated for the filled weight and a dedicated 240 V circuit. This is the tub for the buyer who has sat in the $8,888 options and wants the room and the finish of the step up.

Condition. New unit.
